PFL 2 Odds & Betting Preview

This weekend, PFL is coming back with its second week of the 2023 season, and they have an excellent fight card, stacked with exciting fighters. In the main event, the reigning PFL 2 Featherweight champion, Larissa Pacheco, is defending herself against former Bellator Champion Julia Budd.

After her last win against Kayla Harrison, Larissa Pacheco has a lot of hype behind her, and she has a tough veteran in front of her in the form of Julia Budd. PFL 2 Fight preview

Larissa Pacheco is a heavy favorite in this fight, which is quite understandable since she is quite likely to win this fight. She is coming off a very impressive win over the two-time PFL champion Kayla Harrison, where she showed that she had the wrestling and grappling skills to deal with the two-time Olympic gold medalist in judo.

Additionally, Pacheco has decent striking as well. She is on a six-fight winning streak and finished all five of her opponents before Harrison. These included knockout wins over Julija Pajic, Olena Kolesnyk, Genah Fabian, and Zamzagul Fayzallanova, who are decent strikers in their own right.

On the other hand, Julia Budd is at the tail end of her career. She turns 40 in a few months and is coming off two consecutive losses against Genah Fabian and Aspen Ladd. Where her last two losses sound bad, it is important to keep in mind that in the fight against Fabian, she was at a considerable weight disadvantage, since Fabian had missed weight by 4.8 pounds, and the loss against Ladd was a split decision.

Budd looked decent in her last fight, she is tough and can give Pacheco some tough times, however, I don’t expect her to get the win, especially considering that this is a five-round fight. I don’t believe that she can finish Pacheco and she might not have the conditioning to go five rounds with her either. I expect this fight to end with a late finish, with Pacheco getting the win in the fourth round.
