2023 Charleston Open Odds & Betting Preview

2023 Charleston Open Overview
The 2023 Charleston Open, commercially called the 2023 Credit One Charleston Open, will be held from April 3rd to April 9th, at the Family Circle Tennis Center, in Charleston, South Carolina, in the United States.
The event is developed on outdoor green clay courts (the only tournament in the tour that has this characteristic) and was played for the first time in 1973. This will be its 50th edition.
It only has a female version and shares approximately USD $780,637 between all of its 56 single participants and 16 double pairs.
The 2023 Charleston Open is the fifth WTA 500 event of the women’s season.
The current champion in singles is Swiss Belinda Bencic. In doubles, the monarchs are Slovenian Andreja Klepač and Polish Magda Linette.
2023 Charleston Open Preview
Jessica Pegula, #1 seed and #3 in the world, is the main favorite to win the title in the 2023 Charleston Open, but the assessment has some writing between the lines that sometimes gets ignored.
Pegula is the best-ranked player in the tournament and she is also been performing at a solid level for months. Nevertheless, her last title happened in October 2022 (Guadalajara Open) and is her only singles trophy in three and a half years.
The 29-year-old American has trouble winning when it matters. She does deep runs in tournaments but there is always a barrier that she can’t surpass. She knows it and her rivals know it too.
If she wants to take one more jump in her career, she needs to start feeding that trophy cabinet. The 2023 Charleston Open should be that triumphant beginning.
Ons Jabeur is the #2 seed. The Tunisian star, who is #5 in the WTA rankings, is still trying to pick up her best shape and rhythm after an injury that cut her impulse at the start of the season.
The 2022 Wimbledon and US Open runner-up even got to #2 in the world, being the best-ranked African female player in the history of the sport. But she has claimed that it was not enough for her and she wants #1. For that, she needs to get back to winning.
Russian Daria Kasatkina (#3 in the tournament, #8 in the world) is also somebody that the field has to be careful of. She has an on-and-off switch that when it ignites, she can compete against anybody.
Belinda Bencic (#4 and #9) has not been impressive lately, but as the defending champion, she has to be watched carefully.
Veronika Kudermetova (#5 and #11), Victoria Azarenka (#6 and 16#), Ekaterina Alexandrova (#7 and #18), and Magda Linette (#8 and #19) are the other top seeds, who will also have a bye in the first round of the tournament.
In doubles, the favorites are doubles specialists Giuliana Olmos from Mexico and Ena Shibahara from Japan (#1 seed). American Caroline Dolehide and Australian Storm Hunter (#2) also have some chances.
2023 Charleston Open Prediction
American Jessica Pegula will win the 2023 Charleston Open, defeating Belarusian Victoria Azarenka in the final.
In doubles, the winners will be German Laura Siegemund and Russian Vera Zvonareva, who were given the #4 seed in the tournament.
